ART - VISUAL COMMUNICATIONS MAJOR
Suggested Course Sequence: A Four-Year Plan

At least 94 total and 30 upper-division credits are required for the BA in Art – Visual Communication major. This course sequence is meant to be used as a guideline. Consult with your faculty advisor or academic counselor about modifying this plan to meet your needs, and to reflect any coursework you have already completed prior to enrolling at °µÍøTV

Students must complete ART 1102 or ART 1104, and ART 1202  and 1205 before applying to the major.

Common Curriculum	USEM 1000	UCOR 1000 OR UFDN 1000	UCOR 1000 OR UFDN 1000
Major	ART 1202; ART 1104 (or 1102)	ART 1205	ART 1203	Students may complete ART 1102 or ART 1104
Competencies Exploratory Curriculum (EC)	Unless you are exempt, take the Math Placement Test at least three academic quarters before you intend to take your Exploratory Curriculum math class. Complete ENG 2201, if required.
Other	Apply to the major upon successful completion of three of the following courses: ART 1102, 1104, 1202, 1203 and 1205			Electives to reach at least 45 credits if needed

Major	ART 2602	ART 2201, ART 2502, ART 2603	ART 2205, ART 3200
Competencies Exploratory Curriculum (EC)	Complete elementaryforeign language,if requirement has not been fulfilled.			AHB, AHC, SSA, SSB, NSA, NSB (Choose two or three depending on competency courses needed.)
Other				Electives to reach at least 90 credits if needed

Major	ART 3202	ART 3204, ART 3205	ART 3610, ART 4208

Other	Apply to graduate once 105 credits and admission to major have been earned.			Electives to reach at least 135 credits if needed

Other	Create a final-year plan and meet with your faculty advisor for review.			Electives to reach at least 180 total college-level quarter credits and 60 upper-division credits if needed
