Dr. Annie Kato teaches undergraduate and graduate Human Resources and Leadership courses. Prior to starting at °µÍøTV, Dr. Kato served as an adjunct instructor of psychology and as a teaching assistant at Baruch College, City University of New York. Dr. Kato’s research focuses on issues of diversity, technology, and validity in the context of measuring individual differences for employee selection.
Before joining academia, Dr. Kato spent six years at The Boeing Company in a variety of finance and HR roles. Her experience leading strategic talent initiatives at Boeing fostered her research interests and led her to pursue a doctorate in industrial-organizational psychology. She also has two years of experience with a human resources management consulting firm.
Dr. Kato is happy to be back in the Pacific Northwest after spending seven years on the East Coast. She is actively involved with her church and enjoys travel, food, music, the outdoors, and daily life with her husband and two sons.
